rainboceanHey, I'm Ocean and this is my first post. I'm feeling quite anxious about writing this... Who am I? What am I like? I’m sure you’re wondering these things, and wondering whether or not you’re interested in a blog by someone like me. Okay I’m starting to sweat, why does this feel like a job application!? Or a super hard test & if I get one question wrong you’re out of here and I’ve failed the test.
First question I always get asked: is Ocean really your name. Yes. Ocean Enyfs [last name] - Ocean Rainbow1, since Enfys is Welsh for Rainbow, and yes I'm originally from Wales. My parents are hippies, my sister is called Wisdom Sinclair [last name] and brother was called Temple - but he was super cringe about the whole hippie thing and changed it as soon as he was legally old enough. He's now called Daniel.
Me, I completely embraced the hippie lifestyle and will happily call myself a flower child. I'm all about the peace and love, man. I smile way too much, and overuse emojis & exclamation marks (sorry not sorry, I’m expressive) But I'm also really needy, I thrive on affection & constantly harass my loved ones for hugs & kisses (but I'm also demisexual so keep it platonic, k?). I am striving to be the best version of myself and continuously trying to make my world a better place. ♥
I now live in South England where I work for a museum, researching the history of the collections and trying to identify what work is needed. I am a huge nerd over ancient history and civilisations and studied Classical Civilisation at university.
What can you expect to read here? Life, relationships, & random thoughts, sharing music & recipes, tons of positivity, & some geeky stuff - everything from scientific and spiritual pursuits to those of new-age ideas and ancient knowledge
One thing to make you aware of is that I don't own a TV. I pretty much know nothing about popular culture, I've never seen any of the comic book movies (and have no interest in them). I much prefer to listen to music (usually folk) and read, or dance or paint or do yoga & I keep thinking about learning to make jewellery. But! I do not judge anyone who likes to watch TV or movies, I don't belittle anyone anything that makes them happy
